Pebbles

It is rare to find isolated pebbles. They need friction to exist. Linked to others to become smoother with the currents. From this slow erosion started by fire and air, these bits of cliffs, of mountains, of volcanoes become rounded with the streams of water. This ceaseless fashioning escaping the human scale carries me into an open and luminous space.

These pebbles that seem to be inert, silent, solid appear to me on the contrary like a concentrate of lives : ethereal, translucent and eloquent. No doubt because in the image of human beings, their ultimate phase will be as a mote of dust suspended in the light.
